PLDC - Sepahan earned a strong 2–0 win over Al Hussein in their AFC Champions League Two™ Group C match, moving to the top of the group with 7 points. Both teams had already qualified for the Round of 16.
The Iranian side dominated early, hitting the crossbar through Hadi Mohammadi and forcing multiple saves from goalkeeper Mahmoud Al Kawamleh. Al Hussein created a rare chance through Aref Al Haj, but Hossein Hosseini was alert to stop it.
Sepahan finally broke through in the 73rd minute when substitute Aria Yousefi won the ball high and fired into the bottom corner. In stoppage time, Mohammad Askari finished off a pass from Ehsan Hajsafi to secure the victory.
