Mahdavikia recovers ankle injury

IRIB - Hamburger SV forward Mehdi Mahdavikia resumed practice following his one-month break from a nagging ankle joint injury, the press said Friday.

The report did not specify as to when Mahdavikia would return to the starting line-up.

Leading the Bundesliga in assists last year, Mahdavikia has been one of the better players on a dismal Hamburg squad this season.

Regarded as one of this season's title favorites, Hamburg is currently ranked dead last in the Bundesliga..
