PLDC – Iran national football team head coach Marc Wilmots will return to Iran in 2020.

The Iranian football officials failed to arrange a friendly match for Team Melli and media reports suggest that the Belgian coach will not return to Tehran until March 2020 for the match against Hong Kong.

Iranian football federation spokesman Amir Mahdi Alavi said the federation will hold a training camp in January.

According to him, Iran will play a friendly match in January and Wilmots will return to the country.

Iran sits third in Group C of the 2022 World Cup qualification, four points adrift of leader Iraq.

coach is awful as with Carlos we had a very organized system defensively. Cant be loosing to teams like Bahrain and Iraq back to back! I don't think they're gonna beat them both on the return games at home either!

Wilmots is not good for team melli…...time is short, local coach must appointed for remaining period otherwise melli shal be distanced from WC Qatar.....secondly shujai must be punished for his carelessness and lack of discipline caused melli...
