PLDC – Persepolis finished in third place at the fourth edition of the Shohada Cup on Friday.
Persepolis defeated Nirooy-e Zamini 4-0 at Tehran’s Share-Qods Stadium.
Farshad Ahmadzadeh opened the scoring for Persepolis in the 14th minute and Ali Alipour made it 2-0 seven minutes into the second half.
Mehdi Torabi (58) and Amir Roostaei (85) were also on the target.
Saipa, who defeated Persepolis 2-0 on Wednesday, beat Shahin Bushehr 3-1 in the final match and won the title.
The first edition of Shohada Cup was held in 2012, where Tractor Sazi won the title after defeating Esteghlal 2-1.
Saba claimed the title of the second edition, edging past Persepolis 1-0.
Tractor Sazi once again won the title in the third edition after defeating Saipa 3-0.
