FC-Zenit - Lokomotiv Moscow took their chances to defeat the blue-white-sky blues 3-2 in the Russian Super Cup.
Fedor Smolov opened the scoring on 6 mins and led the Railwaymen to a dominant first half. Sardar Azmoun was able to equalise on the stroke of half time to see both sides go in all square at the break.
The Iranian striker then gave us the lead on 52 minutes ith a wonderful turn and finish in the box after some great team build-up. However Alexi Miranchuk then scored twice in quick succession on 78 and 81 to give the Moscow side a 3-2 lead.
Magomed Ozdoev saw red after picking up a second yellow card in the final minutes of the match as the game ended in a 3-2 defeat for the blue-white-sky blues.
