PLDC – Turkish coach Mustafa Denizli has been named as new head coach of Tractor Sazi Tabriz.
The 69-year-old coach succeeded Belgian Georges Leekens who parted company with the Tabriz-based football team at the end of last Iranian Professional League (IPL) season.
The details of the Turkish coach contract have not been disclosed yet.
Denizli started his coaching career in Iran soccer league with Pas in 2004 and left the team after two years.
He managed the Iranian giant Persepolis in 2006 and 2010.
He has managed many Turkish notable soccer clubs, including "Istanbul Big Three"- namely Fenerbahce, Galatasaray and Besiktas.
Denizli has won the Turkish Super League title three times. He is the only coach in history to win the Super League title with three clubs.
Tractor Sazi started the last season with Welshman John Toshack but parted ways with the coach after three months.

Tractor Sazi finished in fifth place in the Iranian league and it means the team will not represent the country in the 2020 AFC Champions League.
