Tehran Times - Persepolis defender Mohammad Ansari will miss the rest of the Iran Professional League season with an ACL tear.
He suffered an injury in the last minutes of the match against Kashima Antlers in the AFC Champions League final in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium.
MRI scan will show the extent of injury, the club said.
Persepolis are challenging with shortage of players. since the team have not been allowed to sign new players in the last two windows.
Ansari has been a key player in Persepolis in the recent years and helped the Reds win back-to-back titles in Iran league.
