Tehran Times - Iranian international midfielder Saeid Ezatolahi is out for the next four weeks at least, according to Royals boss Paul Clement.
The Iranian, who joined Reading on a season-long loan from FC Rostov in August, sustained a quad injury while away on international duty last week.
Ezatolahi has played for four matches for Reading so far but has proved his worth with several eye-catching displays, football.london reported.
However, Clement must do without the influential 22-year-old for the foreseeable future.
"It's not a good one - he's out for the medium term so it's longer than four weeks," confirmed the manager.
"Hopefully he will recover quickly but it's a bit of a nasty one. It's a quadriceps injury - right up at the top near the tendon area.
"It's not going to require surgical intervention. It was getting that way but fortunately it's not the case."
Ezatolahi missed the midweek defeat at Birmingham City, and is also likely to be out for the games against Swansea City, Bristol City and Ipswich Town, as well as the games at Wigan Athletic and Leeds United at the end of November.
