Tasnim – Iran national football team coach Carlos Queiroz is satisfied with his team’s performance against Bolivia.
Iran beat Bolivia 2-1 in a friendly match Tuesday evening at the Azadi Stadium.
Team Melli is preparing for the 2019 AFC Asian Cup.
“First of all, I have to say I am very happy since the fans came to the stadium and enjoyed the match. We played a modern football and the spectators returned their homes while they are satisfied with our performance,” Queiroz said in the post-match news conference.
“We controlled the match and played attacking football. We still have a long road ahead. Iran will play two more friendly matches prior to the 2019 AFC Asian Cup,” the Portuguese added.
“I’ve extended my contract until the AFC Asian Cup and it’s while I had received four years contract from the other teams. I and coaching staff have shown dedication and commitment to Iran,” he said.
