Tasnim – Sepahan football team advanced to Iran’s Hazfi Cup quarter-final on Friday.
Sepahan defeated Nassaji Mazandaran 4-3 on penalty shootout in Isfahan’s Naghsh-e Jahan Stadium after the match tied at 1-1 in the 120 minutes.
Elsewhere, Padideh, leader of Iran Professional League, defeated Foolad 3-2 in extra time in Mashhad.
Mes Kerman also defeated Siraf Kangan 5-2.
The Hazfi Cup is the Iranian football knockout cup competition, run by the Iranian Football Federation.
Esteghlal is the title-holder and most decorated team with seven titles.
