PLDC – Senegalese striker of Esteghlal, Mame Thiam, is going to leave the Iranian team by using his release clause.
Thiam has yet to extend his contract with Esteghlal with one day ahead of the team’s opening match against Paykan in Iran Professional League.
Thiam, who had already said he would sign a contract extension with Esteghlal, has sent a letter to the team and said he is going to use his $200,000 release clause to leave the Blues.
Under the condition, Thiam will most likely part company with Esteghlal.
The Iranian giant has recently opened negotiation with Zob Ahan to sign Morteza Tabrizi as a replacement of Thiam.
Nigerian striker Alhaji Gero has been also linked with a move to Esteghlal.
