PLDC – Tractor Sazi completed the signing of its second foreign-based player on Thursday.
The Iranian team has signed Irish striker Anthony Stokes on a two-year contract.
Stocks started his playing career in Arsenal at the age of 15. He made his first-team debut as a substitute in Arsenal's League Cup tie against Sunderland on 25 October 2005.
The 29-year-old forward has also played in Falkirk, Sunderland, Sheffield United, Crystal Palace, Hibernian, Celtic and Apollon Smyrni.
Anthony Stokes has played for Republic of Ireland from 2007 to 2014.
Tractor Sazi, had also signed English midfielder Harry Forrester on Wednesday.
Tractor Sazi will be headed by former Wales and Real Madrid coach John Toshack in new season of Iran Professional League (IPL).
The IPL new season will kick off on July 26.
