PLDC – Iran national football team coach Carlos Queiroz returned to Lisbon, capital of Portugal on Thursday.
Queiroz has yet to agree to extend his stay despite claims by the president of the country’s football federation that the Portuguese would lead the team at January’s Asian Cup finals.
Ex-Real Madrid coach has been linked with move to Algeria, Egypt and South Africa and he is reportedly weighing up his options.
Under coaching of Queiroz, Iran snatched four points in the 2018 World Cup, which is the best Team Melli’s result in the World Cup finals.
Iran defeated Morocco 1-0, lost to Spain 1-0 and drew 1-1 with Portugal in Group B of the competition.
