PLDC – Iran national football team player Karim Ansarifard says they learn from their Portuguese coach Carlos Queiroz and are proud of him.
Under coaching of Queiroz, Iran edged past Morocco in its 2018 World Cup opener in Russia.
“To be honest, we have one of the fantastic coaches in the world,” Ansarifard said.
“He supported us, from when he arrived in Iran, and over the last seven years he has supported us all the time, he fights for us, he teaches us the way,” he added.
We learn something from his every day. We are proud he is one of us,” Ansarifard concluded.
Iran will play powerhouse Spain on June 20 in Kazan and face Portugal five days later.
