PLDC - Former Iranian striker Ali Daei believes it will take a long time Cristiano Ronaldo to beat his Iranian national team record of 109 goals in 149 games. The captain of the National Team has 81 goals, so there is a difference of 28 goals.
"I think Ronaldo has a difficult task to reach my record. To score 28 goals it takes a lot of time, but as I said, the records are there to be beaten and the amount of games that Ronaldo have palyed are not comparable to my time,” Daei said in an interview with Marca.
"Ronaldo has scored many goals for Portugal and the value of what he has done is more important for football than when we played,” the current Saipa coach added.
"In my opinion, Ronaldo is among the best players in the history of world football and has had close competition with Messi," he concluded.
