Carlos Queiroz’s men were originally scheduled for a match against Greece but its coach Michael Skibbe didn’t accept the warm-up match.
Iran will also play Lithuania in a friendly match ahead of the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Team Melli has been drawn in Group B along with Morocco, Spain and Portugal.
The Persians will kick off the campaign with a match against Morocco at Saint Petersburg on June 15.
Iran, meanwhile, faces Spain in Kazan on 20 June before meeting Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal in Saransk five days later.
