Iran Grouped With China, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon in Asian Futsal Event

TEHRAN -Iran was listed in Group C with China, Kyrgyzstan, and Lebanon in a draw ceremony, held for the Asian Futsal Championships in Tokyo on Friday.

The Group C and Group D competitions are held in the Japanese capital and the matches of groups A and B are played in the second largest city of Japan, Osaka.

Japan will host the Asian futsal tournament from 25 July to August 3.

Secretary General of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), Peter Velappan, attended the draw ceremony, that was held at the venue of Japanese Football Federation, IRNA reported.

Group A comprises Japan, Kuwait, Macao, and Palestine. South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, and Brunei form Group B and Group D consists of Thailand, Turkmenistan, Iraq, Malaysia, and Uzbekistan.
