PLDC - Reza Ghoochannejhad probably played his last match for SC Heerenveen, telegraaf.nl reported.
"You will see me again in the Eredivisie, but probably not at Heerenveen", said the attacker after the defeat of his team against FC Utrecht (2-1) in the play-offs for European football.
It seems that Ghoochannejhad will continue his career in another club in the Eredivisie.
The Iran international striker has played for Sint-Truiden, Standard Liege, Charlton Athletic, Kuwait SC and Al-Wakrah SC before returning to SC Heerenveen two years ago.
On Monday, Ghoochannejhad was invited to provisional Iran squad for the 2018 World Cup.
He scored Iran’s only goal in the 2014 World Cup in 3-1 loss against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
