PLDC - Head of Football Federation of the Islamic Republic of Iran (FFIRI) Mehdi Taj congratulated Esteghlal football club for winning Iran‘s Hazfi Cup title.
On Thursday, Esteghlal defeated first division Khooneh be Khooneh 1-0 in Khorramshahr.
Mame Baba Thiam scored the only goal of the match in the first half.
The Blues claimed Iran’s Hazfi Cup for the seventh time.
“I would like to congratulate to the players, head coach, coaching staff, medical staff, and the club’s fans,” Taj said.
“I hope Esteghlal can continue its winning way in the AFC Champions League,” he added.
