TEHRAN TIMES – Naft Masjed Soleyman and Nassaji Mazandaran football teams won promotion to the Iranian Professional League (IPL) on Sunday.
Naft Masjed Soleyman drew 2-2 with Mes Rafsanjan and won the Azadegan League, also known as League 1, with 65 points in Masjed Soleyman’s Behnam Mahmoudi Stadium.
Nassaji Mazandaran also defeated Rah Ahan 6-0 in Tehran’s Takhti Stadium and became runners-up with 64 points thanks to a better goal difference than Khooneh be Khooneh.
Siahjamegan and Naft Tehran have previously been relegated from Iran Professional League.
