PLDC - Iranian football club Esteghlal has selected Qatar as the neutral venue to host the Saudi Arabian teams at the 2018 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League.
Esteghlal will host Al Rayyan on April 2 in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium in Group D and will advance to the next stage with a win over the Qatari team.
The Iranian team will likely meet a Saudi Arabian team in knockout stage and it has chosen Qatar as host.
The 2018 AFC Champions League, which is the 37th edition of Asia's premier club football tournament, began on January 16, 2018, and will wrap up on November 10.
The winner of the tournament will qualify as the AFC representative for the 2018 FIFA Club World Cup in the United Arab Emirates.
