Tasnim - Iran national football team's head coach Carlos Queiroz says he is satisfied with the match against Sierra Leone.
Team Melli defeated the African minnow 4-0 on Saturday in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium.
“It was a good warm-up match,” Queiroz said in the post-match news conference.
The Portuguese was asked about the selecting Sierra Leone as a weak team and said, “We don’t care what other says and we keep going.”
“We cannot always arrange the friendlies we want. If so, Brazil didn’t have to play Iran a friendly in the UAE,” Queiroz added.
“I think some people are trying to undermine me. Please let the players do their work,” he stated.
