Tasnim - Iran’s women’s national futsal team defeated Russia in a friendly match on Saturday and lost to the European powerhouse on Sunday.
In the first match held in Tehran’s Shahid Chamran Hall, Shahrzad Mozaffar’s team defeated Russia 2-1 thanks to goals from Sara Shirbeigi and Mahsa Kamali.
Team Melli also played with the Russian team, losing to the team 4-3. Arezou Sedghiani (two goals) and Nasibeh Gholami scored for Iran.
Iran is preparing for the 2018 AFC Women's Futsal Championship which will be held in May in Thailand.
Team Melli claimed the title of the first edition which was held in Malaysia in 2015.
