Tehran Times - Iran national football team will reportedly take part at the tournament in Qatar as part of preparation for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
Team Melli have been drawn along with one-time World Cup champion Spain, UEFA titleholder Portugal and Morocco in Group B.
The media reports suggest that Uruguay, Poland and Qatar will likely take part at the tournament.
The event has been scheduled to take place in late March in Doha.
Team Melli, headed by Carlos Queiroz, will be participating in the World Cup for the fifth time but the team have never gotten past the group stage.
Iran become the second team to qualify for the 2018 World Cup as they beat Uzbekistan 2-0 in Tehran in June.
