Tehran Times - Croatian national team manager, Zlatko Dalic, talked about his friendship with Branko Ivankovic, coach of Persepolis, and praised the Iran national team quality.
“Branko Ivankovic is my big friend, he helped me a lot when I started my career,” Dalic said in an interview with GOL BEZAN.
“He was my coach for five years and I learned a lot from Branko, he is a very professional coach, also a very good man. I’m always in touch with him and we talk two or three times every week about football, about Persepolis, Iranian club and he asks me about my situation. I can just say nice things about Branko because he helped me a lot. I know he has done a great job with Persepolis and has won the premiere league of Iran,” Dalic said.
The head coach of Croatian national team, who replaced Ante Cacic and led the team to the FIFA World Cup 2018, also commented about Team Melli.
“Iran played very well in World Cup qualifiers and advanced to the competition sooner than the Asian teams. We hope we will not be in the same group with Iran,” the former Al Ain coach concluded.
