Tasnim - Hamid Reza Garshasbi has been appointed as acting president of Iranian Persepolis football club.
Garshasbi replaced Ali Akbar Taheri, who stepped down as his role in early November, in the Iranian club.
Iran's Ministry of Sport and Youth has appointed Garshasbi as replacement for Taheri.
Taheri quit as Persepolis GM after three years.
The 61-year-old played a key role in Persepolis ’achievements during the previous years, hiring former Team Melli coach Branko Ivankovic as a coach who has good knowledge of Iran football.
Under chairmanship of Taheri, Persepolis won Iran’s league once and advanced to the AFC Champions League semifinals.
