Tehran Times - Persepolis football club General manager Ali Akbar Taheri stepped down as his post.
Iran's Ministry of Sport and Youth has appointed Hamid Reza Garshasbi as the club’s acting president.
Taheri replaced Hamid Reza Siasi in 2014 and Persepolis earned remarkable achievements under his leadership.
Persepolis claimed the title of Iran Professional League in the 2016-17 season after nine years.
The Iranian giants also advanced to the 2017 AFC Champions League final four for the first time and also are a favorite to win Iran’s Hazfi Cup title in the current season.
Persepolis are vying to defend their title in the current season as well.
