Tasnim - Iranian top flight football club Gostaresh Foolad sacked Luka Bonacic after Thursday’s 2-1 defeat by Tractor Sazi in Tabriz’s derby.
The 62-year-old coach took charge of Gostaresh Foolad on a one-year contract in May but was sacked following the poor results in the IPL.
Gostaresh Foolad sits bottom of the IPL table with seven points from eight matches.
Bonacic has already worked in the Iranian football clubs Foolad, Sepahan, Zob Ahan, Mes Kerman and Esteghlal Ahvaz.
According to the Tabriz based football club, former Saipa coach Hossein Faraki and ex-Esteghlal trainer Firouz Karimi are candidates to take charge of the team.
Last season, Gostaresh Foolad finished in 8th place in Iran Professional League (IPL), 28 points adrift of champion Persepolis.
