Tehran Times - Esteghlal defensive midfielder Omid Ebrahimi has extended his contract with Esteghlal for more one season.
Ebrahimi was discovered by coach Amir Ghalenoei and joined Sepahan in 2010.
He became Esteghlal’s best scorer with seven goals last season.
The 29-year-old defensive midfielder had also caught the attention of Sepahan football team.
Furthermore, Esteghlal right-back Vouria Ghafoori has extended his contract for more one season.
Ghafouri played his entire career for Pas Hamedan until 2010 when he signed with Shahrdari Tabriz. He later signed with Naft Tehran.
Ghafouri joined Sepahan in 2014 and lifted Iran Professional League’s trophy with the Isfahan-based football team.
He has also made 15 appearances for Iran national football team.
Esteghlal became runners-up in Iran Professional League last season.
