Tasnim - Title-holder Esteghlal Khuzestan football team was held to a 1-1 draw by Zob Ahan in Iran Professional League (IPL) on Friday.
In the match held in Ahvaz’s Ghadir Stadium, Mostafa Mahi scored an own goal in the 25th minute to give the visiting team from Isfahan, Zob Ahan, a lead, but Mehdi Zobeidi equalized the match in the hour mark.
Furthermore, Paykan defeated rock-bottom Machine Sazi 3-1, Padideh edged past Sab 1-0, and Naft Tehran drew 1-1 with struggler Siahjamegan.
On Saturday, IPL leader Persepolis will play Sanat Naft in Abadan, second-placed Tractor Sazi meet Gostaresh Foolad in Tabriz derby, Sepahan will face Saipa in Isfahan, and Esteghlal host Foolad in Tehran.
With six weeks remaining, Persepolis leads the table with 56 points, 10 points ahead of Tractor Sazi.
