Tehran Times - Iranian international midfielder Saeid Ezatolahi has been linked with a move to Tehran giants Persepolis, according to the local media.

The 20-year-old is currently a free agent after his contract with Russian side Rostov expired in January 2017.

Rostov are eager to extend Ezatolahi’s contract but he is looking forward to move to new side in order to have more playing time.

Persepolis, who lost defensive midfielder Ahmad Nourollahi in the winter transfer window, are in the market for his successor. Ezatolahi could be a perfect choice for Branko Ivankovic side if he agrees to join the Reds but it seems far-fetched as he has offers from Europe.

Anderlecht and Panathinaikos are interested in signing him while an unnamed Chinese side has offered him a lucrative $1.5m deal.

Ezatolahi, who has already capped 14 times for Team Melli, became the youngest goalscorer in the history of the Iran national football team at the age of 19 years and 42 days after scoring in the 3–1 win against Turkmenistan in November 2015.

He could be one of Iran’s key members at the 2018 FIFA World Cup if they qualify for the prestigious tournament.
