Tasnim - Iran suffered its second defeat to Algeria at the 2017 International Military Sports Council (CISM) World Cup.
The Iranian team lost to Algeria 3-1 in the match held in Muscat’s Royal Oman Police Stadium.
Hamia netted a brace in the 27th and 42nd minutes and Ferhani was on target in the 36th minute for Algeria and Rezapour scored for Iran from the penalty spot in the 45th minute.
Iran had lost to North Korea in Group B in its opening match.
Fajr Sepasi, who represents Iran in the competition, will play Germany on Friday.
Sixteen teams are taking part in this championship, which are classified into four groups.
The top two teams will advance to the quarterfinals that will be played on January 24 and the semi-final will take place on January 26.
The third-place playoff and the final will be held on January 28.
