Tehrantimes - After signing Soroush Rafiei and Saman Nariman Jahan, Persepolis is set to sign Iraqi defender Saad Natiq in the winter transfer window.

The Reds, who are looking to strengthen their defense, have chosen the 22-year-old Iraqi who is currently playing for Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya in Iraq Premier League.

Natiq was a first team member of Iraq U-23 at 2016 summer Olympics in Rio in which they managed to get three draws against Denmark, Brazil and South Africa. His performance against Brazilian super star Neymar was spectacular as he was named as the Man of The Match in Iraq, Brazil clash.

Persepolis is currently at the top of Iran Professional league table with 35 points after 16 games.
