Tehran Times - An Esteghlal fan died after Behnam Barzay scored his injury time equalizer against Sepahan.
In the match held in Isfahan’s newly renovated Naqsh-e Jahan Stadium on Sunday, the fan passed away after collapsing in the stands.
Esteghlal coach Alireza Mansourian extended his condolence and said that the club’s thoughts are with all the friends and family of the fan.
Esteghlal and Sepahan finished the first half of the season in 7th and 8th place respectively with 22 points.
