Tehran Times - Iranian international player Soroush Rafiei has been linked with a move to AEK Athens F.C in the January transfer window.
Rafiei’s contract with Tractor Sazi runs out in January and the player is not going to renew it with the Iranian football club.
Iranian giants Persepolis and Esteghlal have already shown interest in signing the attacking midfielder.
Rafiei’s glittering performance in the Iranian Professional League has also caught eye of the Qatari giant clubs al-Gharafa and Umm Salal.
The 26-year-old player started his career with Fajr Sepasi Shiraz and helped the team to promote to the 2011–12 Persian Gulf Cup. He later joined Foolad.
Rafiei joined Tractor Sazi in July 2015. He has made four caps for the Iranian national football team.
The Greek giant also wants to sign Panionios striker Karim Ansarifard in the January transfer window but the Iranian international has a release clause worth 400,000 in his contract.
Ansarifard has been heavily linked with Olympiakos, Panathinaikos and PAOK.
He joined Greek Superleague club Panionios from Osasuna in 2015.
Former Persepolis attacker has played 39 times for Panionios and scored 13 goals.
He has so far amassed 54 appearances for Iran national football team, scoring 14 goals.
