Tehrantimes - Iran defeated Egypt 4-1 in its second match in the Beach Soccer Intercontinental Cup on Wednesday.
Moselm Mesigar and Mohammad Ahmadzadeh scored two goals each for Team Melli.
Iran will face Russia in Group B on Thursday.
Group A consists of the UAE, 2014 champion Brazil, Tahiti and Poland.
The Beach Soccer Intercontinental Cup is an international beach soccer tournament which is currently being held in the city of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.
The invitation-only tournament has been held annually starting in 2011. It will continue until at least 2017.
The competition bares many similarities to the FIFA Confederations Cup, however is not so strict on entry requirements.
