comparison in IPL standings after the first half was completed between this
year (2003) and last year. This news has been published on Jahane Football
newspaper.

After completion of the first half of IPL league in Iran, Esteghlal
of Tehran was first last year, now they are at fifth place. Sepahan of
Esfahan was forth last year is the leader this year.
2-
Persepolis was in second place last year, which is the same spot they
stand this year. The difference was that last year only 4 points separated
them from the leader and this is increased to 8 points this year.
3-
Foulad Khuzestan was in third place last year and 7th this
year. Pas was fifth and now stands in third place.

Fajr Sepasi has increased its spot from 8th place last
year to 4th place this year.
5-
Peykan was in 6th place and has dropped one spot to 7th
place. Saipa is currently at 6th place.
6-
Zob Ahan of Esfahan is currently at 8th place and they
were in 7th place last year.
7-
Bargh Shiraz currently in 10th place was 9th
the same time last year.
8-
Abu Moslem of Mashed, the 10th team last year has dropped
two spot and is at 12th position.

Malavan of Anzali was in 12th place last year and now they
occupy the last lonely spot.

Saipa with improving 5 spots has had the best improving record while
Foolad with 5 drops is fast going the wrong way.

This year in 2003 the total of 187 goals were scored which was only
one better compare to last year.

In both seasons the leader team had scored 25 goals, which proved to
be the best offensive line.
13-
Sepahan of Esfahan had the best defensive record by conceiving only 4
goals, this year Peykan has the best defensive record by only conceiving 7
goals.
14-
The first team last year had 27 points and this year it is 31 points
owned by Sepahan.
15-
Last year Traktorsazi had not won any games in all its matches.
16-
Enayati and ModirRosta were the high lead scorer last year and this
year NavidKia is in the top spot one better than the second place.
