Tehrantimes - Iranian football club Gostaresh Foolad of Tabriz extended Faraz Kamalvand’s contract on Sunday.
Kamalvand, who was officially appointed as the head coach of Gostaresh on October 2014, will stay at the club until the 2016-17 season.
The 40-year-old coach has a 50 percent win record in the 36 official games in charge of Gostaresh Foolad so far. Eighteen wins, fifteen draws and thirteen losses is the result of Kamalvand in his 16 months spell at the club.
Gostaresh is currently in ninth place of Iran Professional League (IPL) table with 28 points from 21 games.
Kamalvand is the youngest head coach at history of Iran Pro League. He became famous after earned promotion to IPL with Shirin Faraz in 2006-07 season.
He was appointed as the Tractor Sazi coach in summer 2008. Tractor Sazi won 2008–09 Azadegan League and promoted to Iran Professional League with Kamalvand after eight years.
