Iranian referee Alireza Faghani has been appointed to handle the final match of the 2015 FIFA Club World Cup, between River Plate from Argentina and FC Barcelona from Spain, to be played on 20 December 2015 in Yokohama.
A FIFA referee since 2008, after having attended 2014 WC as reserve referee, he officiated 2015 Asian Cup final. This will be the second match in the competition, after having refereed the Fifth Place Game. To complete the officiating crew for this final, Alioum from Cameroon will act as fourth official .
