Tasnim - Iranian national football team's captain Jalal Hosseini has missed the match against Turkmenistan in the 2016 World Cup qualifier.

Hosseini is suffering from a knee injury and will be out of action at least three weeks.

The 33-year-old defender could play his 100th match for Team Melli against Turkmenistan.

Iran has been scheduled to face Turkmenistan on November 12 in Tehran.

Carlos Queiroz’s men are second in Group D with eight points, three points behind Oman with one game in hand.

Turkmenistan is third with seven points.
