MNA - Public Relations of Iran’s Football Federation has announced that Japan and Afghanistan national football teams will hold their FIFA World Cup qualifying match in Azadi Stadium, Tehran on Tuesday.
Because of security concerns in Afghanistan and Syria, Iran have agreed to host home plays of these two countries in World Cup qualification.
Accordingly, Afghanistan will take on Japan on Tuesday in Tehran, Iran for their third Russia 2018 qualifier in order to relish the chance to rub shoulders with the four-time Asian champion.
The match will be held at 5:00 p.m (Local time) in Azadi Sports Complex and only a total of 32 thousand tickets will be sold for the match.
More than 70 Afghan and Japanese reporters are due to arrive in the Iranian capital to cover the qualifying match between Japan and Afghanistan for FIFA World Cup 2018.
Afghanistan has been pitted against Japan, Syria, Singapore and Cambodia in Group E of the competitions.
