TEHRANTIMES - Persepolis coach Branko Ivankovic believes that his team must try harder in order to get back on track after a poor start in the Iran Professional League (IPL).
Persepolis held to a 2-2 draw against Padideh in the first game of the season before losing 2-1 in the second week against Esteghlal Khouzestan.
“We expected a tough match against Esteghlal Khouzestan as we knew that we have to play in a very hot weather but we couldn’t get a good result.
“We have conceded four goals in two games while our opponents had very few chances on goals. I take full responsibility of these results but we have to work harder in order to get back,” Branko told reporters in a press conference on Saturday.
Persepolis currently stands in the 12th place with just one point from two games.
