TehranTimes - Iran national team captain Andranik Teymourian has agreed to join Qatari side Umm Salal despite offers from Esteghlal, Tractor Sazi and Naft.
Former Fulham player has negotiated with three Qatar Stars League club including Al Ahli and Al-Sailiya but finally came to an agreement with Umm Salal. It’s believed that the contract fee is something around $1.2m.
Umm Salal finished in 6th place in last season’s Qatar Stars League.
Teymourian, who was a member of Iran football team in the 2006 and 2014 World Cups, and also the 2007, 2011 and 2015 Asian Cups, is one of the highly-rated players in Iran.
From 2006 to the end of 2010, he played for three clubs in England, including Bolton and Fulham in the Premier League.
