Albawaba - The Saudi Arabian Football Union disclosed that it was closely following-up some grave soccer referees' mistakes which mounted to become a fixed motto made to badly treat Saudi football clubs, by the referees who are officiating their matches, during tournaments of the Asian Football Professional Championship, mainly resulting in eliminating Saudi clubs vying to win the championship.

In a statement issued today, the union cited that, what has been applied on Al-Hilal club, during the previous edition, last year, is typically repeated, in the current edition, in a way that triggers estrangement and questioning the reason behind targeting Saudi clubs, in this Asian sports track.

To substantiate its case, the union pointed out to the circumstances surrounding Saudi clubs, whenever they play, in any Iranian city, citing mischievous treatment, particularly, the several-hour deliberate delay of Saudi mission's arrival at Iranian airports, or ignoring to receive it, contrary to the established sports-like norms of hospitality and good conduct, stressing that Saudi clubs playing, in Iran, should be accorded all appropriate accommodation, atop of which is their members safety and security.

Ironically, visiting Iranian clubs are welcomed, in the Kingdom, and provided with all amenities and accommodation, in accordance with established norms and ethics.

In its complaint to the Asian Football Federation, the Saudi union expressed, outright, rejection of Iranian transgressions, hoping that the Asian body will do its best to fix mends.
