Tasnim - Naft football team provisionally moved top of the Iran Professional League (IPL) after defeating Saipa on Sunday.


Naft defeated Saipa 3-1 and moved one point clear of Foolad at the top of IPL.

Naft Brazilian defender Leandro Padovani opened the scoring in the 32nd minute from the penalty spot.

Amir Arsalan Motahari scored twice in the 39th and 49th minutes.

Hamed Shiri pulled a goal back for Saipa from in the 68th minute from the penalty spot.

Elsewhere, Esteghlal defeated Paykan 1-0 thanks to a late goal from Sajjad Shahbazzadeh and moved to IPL's second place.
