Tasnim - Esteghlal football team has parted company with Hendrik Frank Helmke by mutual consent on Wednesday.

The 27-year-old German suffered a knee injury in the friendly match against Naft Abadan and is facing at least six weeks on the sidelines.

He joined Esteghlal in late December for the 13 remaining games in the Iranian Professional League (IPL) for an undisclosed fee.

Helmke has not played a single match for the Iranian popular football team.

Esteghlal has parted company with the German-Brazilian midfielder by mutual consent with possibility of signing another player instead.

Esteghlal has been scheduled to face Sepahan in the Iranian Professional League on Friday.
