Tehrantimes - Benjamin Williams has been selected to referee Iran and Iraq match, which has been scheduled for Friday in Canberra.

The International Australian officiated Iran’s opening match against Bahrain.

The 38-year-old referee will be assisted by his countrymen Matthew Cream and Paul Cetrangolo in this match.

Iran coach Carlos Queiroz was on Sunday fined by the Asian Football Confederation for his criticism of Williams after Iran's last-start 2-0 win over Bahrain.
