Tasnim - The Iranian U-23 football team beat Oman 2-0 in a friendly match held in the Omani capital on Saturday.

Arsalan Motahari and Behnam Barzay scored two goals in the match held in Muscat.

“First of all, I would like to extend my congratulations to the coaching staff and the players. We decided to meet Oman since they play like Saudi Arabia, our rival in the 2016 AFC U-23 Championship qualification,” Olympic team manager Habib Kashani said.

He said the Iranian team will also travel to Turkey for further preparation matches.

"We will play two friendly matches with two European teams,” he added.
