PLDC - Melbourne, Young defender Hossein Khanzadeh has been chosen to replace injured Hashem Beikzadeh.

Khanzadeh was also chosen as the 23rd man for Iran's 2014 World Cup squad, and now he has been given the chance to play in the 2015 Asian Cup.

It is interesting to note that Beikzadeh also missed the World Cup due to a toe injury. Beikzadeh played as a central defender against Iraq.

According to FIFA laws, a player in the officially announced squad list for a major tournament can only be replaced because of an injury.

Beikzadeh might be the unluckiest player in recent times, as he will miss two major tournaments in less than a span of a year.
