TEHRANTIMES - Iran Football Federation (IFF) vice-president Seyed Hadi Ayatollahi stepped down as his post.
“I’ve written a couple of resignation letters to Ali Kaffashian (head of IFF) but he didn’t accept. In today’s meeting we reached an agreement and I told him that I can’t continue with the current situation,” Ayatollahi told reporters.
As the huge changes in the football federation continues, it’s expected that the secretary general of the federation, Mohammad Mehdi Nabi, will also be sacked.
It’s also rumored that former Rah Ahan president Alireza Asadi is the main candidate to replace Nabi.
On Sunday, vice president of the Iran Football Federation for women's affairs, Farideh Shojaei, was dismissed from his post and Mahin Farhadizad was appointed as her successor.
